About Me

I've been collecting Coke cans since 1986. While not the biggest collection, I enjoy collecting unique Coke cans and bottles from around the world. I also have an unrestored Vendo 81 in my basement. It's been untouched in 13 years. One of these days I'll restore it to it's full glory. Please take a look at the photo gallery, and if you have a picture to share, go ahead and add it!

Vendo 80 Coke Vending Machine

Vendo 80 Coke vending machineAbout 12 Years ago I bought a Vendo 80 Coke vending machine from a retired antique dealer in Niagra Falls. I began to restore it, but wasn’t happy with how it was going. I tore it down and decided to re-paint it. Other things came up in my life, like marriage, kids, etc, and the project go put on hold. Here’s a picture of a restored Vendo 80.

    Hi Jim,
I bought mine for $600 (Cdn) many years ago. It was unrestored. There are price-guides you can get, but I think a more accurate way to find the value is to use kijiji.com or eBay and see what others are asking for it. The Vendo44 is the Cadilac of Vending machines, and I’v enever seen one for sale more than $2500US. Why don’t you send me a picture of it and I’ll post it here?

Have 1 or many for sale please e-mail me.
Prefer 50′s but might consider early 1960′s with small bottle door. You can e-mail me pics.

You forgot to mention how heavy that damn thing is… and that it has absolutely nowhere to grab onto when trying to carry it down a very narrow set of stairs!!
Nice site btw… it beat out startrek.wad when I searched your name :)

I have 2 old coke machines. One is a 1960′s Vendo with the side door and worked until just a couple years ago. I’d really like/need to sell it but do not know what it is worth. I also have a really old coca cola chest that is probably from the late 40′s early 50′s and still has the wood slats in it for the drinks and a front bottle opener. I have found chest’s similar to it but not exact, most that have the front bottle opener and lid catcher have a different top than mine does. It also worked really well until a couple years ago when we unplugged it to keep it from running all the time. Last we plugged it up, it ran a little while then quit. I am not sure if I would sell it as my late father gave it to me and I’m sentimental about anything he ever touched, but would like to know what it is worth in case the economy continues to drag me down and I have to sell it.

I have 2 old coke machines I know nothing about. Would like to know how old they are and their worth. One is a upright Cavalier with wood grain looking front. The other is a chest type Cornelius with wood grain look. Both are for bottles.
