Well, I've only tasted Cherry Coke once, and all I could remember was "tastes like medicine, don't like it", lol.

Anyway, I'm not a New Zealander, I'm a Malaysian but currently living in NZ as a student. I've never tasted the Coca-Cola version of Raspberry Coke, because it was discontinued a few months before I got here.

But anyway, I had a taste of NZ's Coke with raspberry the other day, it tastes kinda like Ribena, only less sweet with a bitter cola flavor. Not bad I guess, but I like regular Coke better.

They use raspberry syrup in the mix. You can get it in bars and Burger King.

Thanks for the reply, Johan. I didn't mind Cherry Coke when it was popular in Ontario in the mid-80's. I wonder if the formula tastes different depending on what country you're in?

So when you say you're used to mixing raspberry with Coke, do you mean raspberry syrup or juice?

Most New Zealanders (who are used to mixing raspberry with their Coke) didn't like Raspberry Coke. It was only distributed in NZ, and was discontinued after 6 months.

Cherry Coke came out once in 1996 in Malaysia. I had a taste, and immediately didn't like it. It had some sort of medicine flavour. It was quickly discontinued in Malaysia.

Vanilla Coke however, is my favourite flavour out of all Coca-Cola brands. I like it best when sipped slowly at room temperature. It will give off a very nice hint of sweet vanilla in your mouth.
