About Me

I've been collecting Coke cans since 1986. While not the biggest collection, I enjoy collecting unique Coke cans and bottles from around the world. I also have an unrestored Vendo 81 in my basement. It's been untouched in 13 years. One of these days I'll restore it to it's full glory. Please take a look at the photo gallery, and if you have a picture to share, go ahead and add it!

Coke Classic tin can

Coke Classic "Original Taste"
Coke Classic

Here’s a Coke can from 1986 or 1987.  It’s one of the small 280ml cans. I can’t remember what year Coke went to the larger cans in Ontario. This one is heavier, with more tin content. Some cans had “Original Taste” in yellow. I love this stuff. I recall the controversy when Coke introduced (or re-introduced) Coke Classic. Shortly after that the McDonalds restaurant chain dropped “new Coke” altogether.  That was the beginning of the end for New Coke.

Wow. I was renovating my basement and I just found a coke can looking exactly like that but with a yellow “Original Taste” circle. Is this can rare?
