Coke neon signs
April 16th, 2010 by DerekI’ve always loved Coke neon signs. Well, all neon signs really, but I especially like Coca-Cola neon signs. I own a tiny coke neon sign, but it’s pretty sad. I’ve seen them used for as little as $225, but I’ve never had the cash to buy one. I understand they’re also difficult to ship (assuming you get one off eBay), and also expensive to repair. We’ve all seen the signs with one or two letters that don’t work, and I expect it’s because they’re a fortune to fix. I like this picture of a glass of Coke with a straw in it.  If I had one of these, it would be the centerpiece of my collection. If you have one, please leave a comment below, and let us know where you got it. You might even want to upload a picture in the photo-gallery! mini vending machines
March 28th, 2010 by Derek
I love these little machines. I like having a cold Coke within arm’s reach when I’m in my office. Check out the picture on the left. It’s a one-can cooler, powered via USB. It doesn’t work terribly well, but it will keep an already-cold can cold. I looked inside it and it uses a CPU cooling can and aluminum heat-sync to cool the can. There are many types of Coke coolers and vending machines. Here are a few examples of electric coolers. Read more »
How to Build a Coke Can Stove
March 26th, 2010 by Derek
I ran across this website the other day, with some brilliant instructions on how to build a Coke can stove.  It’s made by assembling the sliced off bottoms of 2 Coke cans, drilling a few holes in it, and filling it with fuel.  I can’t do it justice, you’ll just have to see for yourself.

While I think of it as Sacrilege to destroy a Coke can, some people have made some pretty interesting things from them. I understand you can also make things out of Pepsi cans after you open them and pour the Pepsi down the sink.
Coke salt and pepper shakers
February 21st, 2010 by DerekÂ
Check this out. I bought these Coke salt and pepper shakers in 1994, in Montreal, Quebec while on my honeymoon.  ”Wow,” I said “Salt and pepper shakers shaped like a Venco 44 Coke vending machine.” I think they’re really cool! I think I only paid about $10 for them. If you have a Coke salt and pepper shaker or anything else different like this, please send me a picture!

Round Coke Bottles
December 19th, 2009 by DerekI missed picking up these round Coke bottles. Apparently these round plastic Coke bottles were available from Walmart in November. I assume people would drink the Coke and then, over their wife’s dead body, hang them on their Christmas tree. I told my friend Todd about my disappointment from not getting one, and about my affinity for this kind of crap. He mentioned that he saw some at a small variety store. We’ll see if he can grab me one before they’re gone for good.  Or until next year.
