About Me

I've been collecting Coke cans since 1986. While not the biggest collection, I enjoy collecting unique Coke cans and bottles from around the world. I also have an unrestored Vendo 81 in my basement. It's been untouched in 13 years. One of these days I'll restore it to it's full glory. Please take a look at the photo gallery, and if you have a picture to share, go ahead and add it!

Coca-Cola serving counter

Check this out.  This is a piece from the Chicagoland Antique Advertising, Slot Machine, and Jukebox Show.  Hell of a title, no?  I’ve never heard of it until I came across a gentleman’s photo of this Coca-Cola serving counter on Flickr.  I asked him about the show, and this is what he said:

The Chicagoland Antique Advertising, Slot Machine and Jukebox Show takes place twice a year (April & November) at the Pheasant Run Resort in St Charles, Illinois. Read more »

I finally got my hands on a Gold Coke can from the Vancouver 2010 Olympics (thanks to Paul Q Bowman).  I understand there’s 3 different ones out there?  Can someone help me out with this?  Leave a comment below.

mini coke cans

Mini Coke can
7.5oz Mini Coke can

I’ve got mixed feelings about this mini Coke can.  On the one hand, if you’re not thirsty enough to finish a regular size can, it seems like a good alternative. On the other hand, I’m afraid the small size will encourage some parents to include it in their child’s lunch, and that’s not cool.

Does the coke mini-can encourage parents to give it to children?

Drinking Rum and Coca-Cola

April 4th, 2010 by Derek

I have to share this video with you. It’s a selection of old Coca-Cola calendars with a swinging tune “Drinking Rum and Coca-Cola” over top. While you’re at it, check out José Roitberg’s website.  Here’s the lyrics to this 1945 Andrew Sister’s song.  Read more »
